Hello Families,
Well, we all made it through the first week of school. Congratulations to our students, staff, and families on a successful start to the year! As we head into our first full week of school, a reminder that sleep, routines, and nutritious meals are important for both children and adults as we settle back into the school year.
Thank you to everyone who attended Curriculum Night last week. It was wonderful to see so many families in the building, meet new faces, and share plans for the year ahead. If you were unable to attend, please connect with your child's teacher for any information or handouts that were shared.
Our hot lunch program begins on Tuesday, and students in Grades 1-6 will be eating in the cafeteria on a rotating schedule. We appreciate everyone's patience as students learn these new routines.
I would also like to remind families about our parking and drop-off procedures. Our front driveway is a drop-and-go lane and must remain clear for traffic flow and student safety. If you need to park while dropping off or picking up your child, please park on the road or in another safe location and avoid using staff parking spaces. Thank you for helping us keep arrival and dismissal times safe and efficient.

Outdoor Learning and Play
Students will be outside daily unless there is heavy rain, temperatures below -25°C, or icy conditions. Please ensure your child comes prepared for the weather with appropriate outdoor clothing. We also recommend that all students from Pre-Primary to Grade 6 keep a change of clothes at school. Please label jackets, sweaters, hats, footwear, and other belongings to help us return lost items to their owners.
Stand Up Against Bullying Day
On Thursday, September 10, we will recognize Stand Up Against Bullying Day by celebrating kindness, friendship, and inclusion. Creating a safe and welcoming environment for every student is a shared responsibility, and we invite all students and staff to wear pink to show their support.
Student Transportation
Everything families need to know about bus eligibility, stop locations, pick-up times, delays, and cancellations can be found through BusPlanner. Families can also sign up for email and text notifications to stay informed about transportation updates.
