Dear Families,
We would like to share how our school will be recognizing Black Excellence Day in Nova Scotia on Friday, May 15.
Black Excellence Day is an opportunity to celebrate and learn from the achievements, contributions, and leadership of Black individuals and communities, while continuing to build inclusive learning environments where all students feel a sense of belonging.
On Thursday, May 14, students will take part in a whole‑school assembly focused on age‑appropriate key messages about Black Excellence. On Friday, May 15, learning will continue through classroom‑based activities that encourage reflection, celebration, and learning.
Students and staff are encouraged to wear black on Friday, if they are able, to show their support for Black Excellence Day.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
Sincerely,
John Fry
Principal
